The track pulls no punches, celebrating local cultural identity and bringing ‘truth telling’ direct to Australian airwaves. Known for their high energy, razor-sharp hip hop bars and killer hooks, re-igniting their ongoing collaboration with the Desert Pea Media Creative Team is a significant moment for the crew and the community.

One of the B-Town members Lorraine Dutton aka LAWLESS said, “If you wanna be a role model. You’ve gotta stand up and speak for what you believe is right. No matter who or what you’re up against – we’re all here for a reason.”

“This work is all about relationships, trust, friendship. All the good stuff.” says Toby Finlayson, Creative Director of Desert Pea Media. “It’s such an honour to watch these amazing young people grow, not only as artists and creatives but as people. It’s a deep privilege to be invited on country, and to contribute to this movement for truth-telling and cultural change.”

“Our work in Bourke and Moree over the past couple of decades, and more recently through ‘The Crossroads Project’ has been an incredible journey of connection and transformation” says Toby Finlayson, Creative Director of Desert Pea Media. “It’s an honour to watch these amazing young people grow, not only as artists and creatives but as people. The power of music and media to bridge gaps and amplify unheard voices is immeasurable.”

In 2016, B-Town Warriors and DPM released their hit debut single ‘People of the Red Sunset’ which dropped onto spot rotation on Triple J, attracted international media attention on its way to becoming a summer anthem of 2017 (400,000+ views on Youtube). JINZ Wants You To Unplug With His New Single ‘Too High’

New Zealand-based rapper JINZ wants you to unplug from society in his latest single ‘Too High’.

Going back to his roots and his foundational sounds, ‘Too High’ continues to display his lyrical ability, supplying a masterclass on just how technical and clinical he can be with his delivery.

The single sees the rapper go into a journey of self-reflection from unplugging from society himself, and wants to share the importance of taking time for self-care.

According to JINZ, “This song is really about steering clear of constant news and media, there’s always a new distraction, tragedy, hot topic or celebrity mishap that’s being reported. I’ve found myself at times completely submerged in matters I really have zero control over or actually have any business being aware of at all. Days without my phone glued to my hand are important, nature is important, friends and family are important,”

“Will Smith slapping Chris Rock is not important, well not to me at least. Maybe for Will and Chris it’s a concern. I suppose the message would be chill-out and unplug now and again, relieve yourself of the world’s troubles, especially the nonsense,”

The song delves into classical pop reminiscing “Foster The People” style vocal stabs in with commonly used chord progressions to offer a feel of familiarity, where the vocals are slightly reminiscent of “Easy Life” or “Mac Miller”.

‘Too High’ will be featured on his upcoming self-titled album release ‘JINZ,’ slated for release next year.

Born in the UK, JINZ’s music is full of juicy sounds and grooves that have you nodding your head along from beginning to end. Seamlessly evoking nostalgia with a modern twist.

The rapper has gone on to support the likes of X-zibit, GZA, Pharoe Monch, The Four Owls and Ocean Wisdom. Massing over 2.5 million streams with his music, with every release JINZ continues to grow with his most honest, musical and visionary work to date.

Be gentle with me and you’ll get to know the most outgoing, loving friend you’ll ever have,”

“I want people to take away from this song that boundaries is not a dirty word, and that you have every right to set healthy boundaries, and be confident, positive and happy with laying them down,”
